GMJ May 17, 2019 Concert With Thanasis Polykandriotis Promo Video

On May 17, 2019 at 8:30pm at the Kaye Playhouse at Hunter College in Manhattan, lovers of Greek music will have the distinct pleasure to enjoy Thanasis Polykandriotis, the Bouzouki Legend of Greece and the artist who opened the Athens 2004 Olympics Ceremony!  This new memorable musical performance will highlight apart from captivating bouzouki solos/instrumentals, timeless laika (popular folk) songs which he composed, as well as popular laika and rembetika (Greek blues) by other great Greek composers with whom Polykandriotis has collaborated with and recorded as a "lead" bouzouki player among them, Mikis Theodorakis (Zorba the Greek), Stavros Xarhakos (Rembetiko), Mimis Plessas, Stavros Kouyioumtzis, Vasilis Tsitsanis, just to name a few.  Read more about this concert and click here to buy tickets.
